President Trump offered to meet Iran's leaders with no preconditions. Matthew RJ Brodsky joins Meir Javendanfar on i24News "Perspectives" with Tracy Alexander to break down what's behind the unexpected offer. President Trump's offer to meet was swiftly rejected by Iran's leadership. They are currently spending between $15 - $16 billion per year to prop up the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria while the Iranian people continue suffer. Among the many reasons such a wide swath of Iranian society has been protesting in the streets, month after month, is that they understand the regime has prioritized spending billions on foreign adventures and its nuclear program, rather than on making life any better for the people. It is yet another metric to comprehend the extent to which Iran's leaders are bent towards posing threats to the West rather than engaging in any meaningful kind of reform.
