US President Donald Trump announced, Thursday, that the Kingdom of Morocco and Israel have agreed to establish full diplomatic relations. Trump said in a tweet on his official Twitter account: "Another historic day ... our great friends Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco agreed to establish full diplomatic relations." "I signed today a declaration recognizing the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara. Morocco's serious and realistic proposal for autonomy is the only basis for a just and lasting solution to achieve lasting peace and prosperity," he added. In a third tweet, the US President stated: "Morocco recognized the United States in 1777, and it is appropriate that we recognize its sovereignty over the Sahara." Thus, Morocco becomes the fourth country to establish normal relations with Israel during the last period. More details from Rabat, academic and political researcher, Dr. Abbas Wardi.
